Very rude to guests. Need signs about no animals in parking area. Very rude staff instead of accommodating, they demanded because they were barking they had to leave. Not a noise the whole ceremony yet still just rude. How do you expect people to go to a seven hour wedding event out of town and not bring their animals. The approach to wedding guests was not professional. No signs where alcohol is permitted either would not recommend unless you like guests being treated poorly. No i was first addressed that if they barked during the ceremony they would have to leave they were in an air conditioned vehicle with water and being check on no longer thatn 30 minutes when the vehicle was off during the reception. The location of the venue is outside city limits so noise complaints are not an issue. Your lack of professionalism in the matter by threatening to have me escourted over dogs barking was not appropriate for my sister's wedding. You did not have signs in the parking area and I have video proof of that. Neither one of you approached me in a calm or professional matter it was rude and hostile

Pro's: -Very beautiful location! -Clean and well maintained grounds - 3 Bathrooms with flushing toilets and running water -The rehearsal dinner food was amazing and cooked by on the property. -I would book or attend an event here again it was quite and pretty Con's: -limited parking and had to find, it's not the location on Google maps but around the corner before the venue. - The parking lot and walking path to the venue is pretty but gets very muddy if raining - If it rains the dance floor and food serving area roof leaks - The tent between the reception and dance/food serving area flood. This is simple fix but I saw a couple people slip and fall, use caution. - The area did not look very wheelchair friendly but I could be wrong, please double check in person if this is a requirement for your event.

I found Wilmington to be a beautiful venue. With the options of catering, Joan was wonderful with her hospitality. It is a all-in-one Venue: chairs, tables, catering options including cake design, and alcohol options through a permit. Bridal bungalow and grooms quarters is a fantastic convenience for both the groomsmen and bridesmaids. I'm glad my now wife fell in love with the outdoor garden that she always wanted. For any bride and groom, if you're looking for a gorgeous outdoor wedding, Wilmington Wedding Venue has it. My wife and I are grateful that Joan and John from Wilmington Wedding Venue were able to support us in achieving our dream wedding

I held my wedding at Wilmington in August of this year. We opted for their two day package and also used the catering services for a full custom meal & cake/cupcakes. From beginning to end, Joan (owner) was fantastic. Her responses were quick & always helpful. She was more than willing to work with me on any of my “asks” to ensure the day turned out just as I’d pictured. The venue itself it’s gorgeous, and well taken care of. They have some decorations/lights etc. already up, so we really didn’t need to do much on the decorating front to make it what I’d pictured and that made things so much easier! The catered food was very good, as well as the cupcakes. I have no complaints. Joan and her husband helped make our day very special.

Initially, when planning my wedding I was unaware of Wilmington and had another venue booked. That venue was canceled 3 months before my wedding. I quickly redid my research and found Wilmington. She was very understanding of my circumstances and very clear of all of her rules, regulations, and practices for her venue. It was a very pretty venue that had many places for photos, bathrooms, places to get ready (for boys and girls), and plenty of parking. She also worked with our outside caterer (Big J's BBQ Catering) to make catering work! Many of my other vendors had worked with Joan previously so it made setting up easy. On my wedding day, it absolutely poured and was quite cold (50s-60s F). I didn't notice in the morning when I was running around and warm. The only thing I recommend is if it is raining and cold on your wedding day, get the heaters for the tent set up as early as possible since it was very cold we called her around 3 to get heaters brought down and they were set up around 5 and the space was warm around 6. Besides this, the tent was beautiful it was very dry and we provided umbrellas for our guests to walk to the bathrooms. It was a beautiful venue and we had a won
